I enjoyed the champagne brunch at Petrossian this past Saturday for a girlfriend’s birthday. The steak and fries were really good…next time I want to try their caviar brunch.

Sona closing in May
While Sona started off great, I believe Chef David Myers’ lack of physical presence in the kitchen has had a great impact on this 1 Michelin star rated restaurant. The closing of Sona did make sense and not at all surprising, especially with his current international expansion. Sona will reopen next year, hopefully with an even more innovative menu. I am excited to see if he will completely change his design vision from the current location or if we will see small resemblances or notes of his current vision incorporated into the new location. Currently, I think Sona is beautifully designed and if he does decide to venture into a different path, I am confident that his newly found vision will not only be aesthetically pleasing but just plain gorgeous.
